You play as Ryan McBright, a 27-year-old man whose name can be customized, returning to his hometown after ten years away. A bitter argument with your mother originally drove you out of the family home and into your uncle’s care. After finishing high school and spending years working for his business, you could have stayed away for good—but running from your past isn’t your style. With your uncle’s help, you rent an apartment in Grizzly Grove and set out to build a life of your own. Whether you make it work or retreat to his house is up to you. This heavily text-based sandbox puts gay romance at the heart of the experience. Choose your own path through the city, explore its various locations, meet its residents, and pursue the available storylines at your own pace. Grizzly Grove lives up to its name with a cast full of hairy, daddy-looking men, and its gay themes are an unavoidable part of the game rather than optional content. Although the game also carries a vaginal sex tag, its central focus remains gay relationships. Currently, two love interests have fully implemented storylines: Dalton Jhonson, your landlord and also your boss if you join JCS, and Garrett Kennedy, your MMA coach at the gym. More storylines are planned for the future. As the developer’s first game, Grizzly Grove has taken shape with the help of community feedback throughout a year of development, blending its deliberately outlandish setup with opportunities for romance and a fresh start.
