Description

Sengoku Rance takes place in Nippon, a far-eastern island nation where rival feudal lords struggle for supremacy during the Fourth Sengoku Era. After leaving a trail of immense destruction across the Continent, the brutish Rance arrives with Sill, his slave and traveling companion. Though a visit to the hot springs is on the agenda, a quiet vacation is hardly what he has in mind. Driven by his appetite for conquest and his pursuit of beautiful women, Rance sets his sights on a land of princesses, samurai, shrine maidens, ninjas, and village girls. The prominent Oda Clan—and Kouhime in particular—soon draws his attention, tying his personal ambitions to Nippon’s bitter struggle for power. When Rance becomes the ruler of one of the feudal states, his journey takes on a much larger scale. With his usual headstrong disregard for restraint, he throws himself into the fight to unite Nippon, turning a self-serving trip into a campaign for control of the country.
