Description

A new era has dawned in Daiakuji, but for Nihon, it begins with defeat. After years of relentless resistance, the male-dominated eastern nation has fallen to Wime, a female-dominated power from the west. As the conquered country struggles to rebuild after the devastation of war, its new rulers impose a sweeping mandate: every regional management institution must be headed by a woman. Years spent as a prisoner of war have left Yamamoto Akuji weakened, but the heir to the Wakame Group returns to Osaka expecting a place in his family’s powerful organization. Instead, an unfamiliar man delivers bitter news: the business now belongs to Ichihashi Ran, his grandfather’s former mistress, and Akuji is no longer welcome. Before he can challenge the decision, his former subordinates surround him, beat him unconscious, and leave him for dead. Akuji awakens in the custody of the Youth Service Group, a small community patrol formed as the Wakame Group’s influence declined. Seeing a chance to regain a foothold, he attacks his captors and forces their leader, Aoba Youko, to submit to his will. With a base from which to rebuild his power, Akuji turns his ambitions toward reclaiming his birthright—and he will do whatever it takes to succeed. The struggle for Osaka is only beginning.
