Description

When The Bud Blooms follows Yui Uchida, an ordinary girl whose defining quality is her earnest nature. Raised by a single mother, she has always done exactly as she was told. When her mother suddenly disappears, however, Yui is left alone, uncertain of her future and with nowhere to turn. Amid that confusion, Yui discovers an adult magazine hidden at the back of her school. The discovery prompts questions about sexuality and whether physical intimacy can offer the connection she is missing. With classmates, her uncle, the school janitor, and online strangers entering the picture, the story explores her vulnerability as she navigates unfamiliar desires and the intentions of those around her.
