Description

In Tropical Junction, a long-standing friendship stands on the edge of change. The protagonist’s childhood friend is one year older than him, and for years, she has felt like an older sister. During the spring of his teenage years, however, he realizes that his affection has become love. Unable to confess or take the next step, he clings to their familiar relationship, leaving his true feelings unspoken. A new school term brings them together at the same school once again, offering the promise of a fresh beginning. For a while, it seems that things might finally turn in his favor—until a friend of his falls for her at first sight. With someone else now drawn to the girl he loves, his everyday school life becomes clouded by uncertainty. That summer, a turn of events leads the three of them to travel together to the Heartland Islands, a tropical resort far from the hometown where he and his childhood friend grew up. Deep down, he hopes the trip will bring the change he has never managed to set in motion, even if he has no idea what that change might mean for them. One thing is certain: he is determined to confront his feelings at last. On a distant southern island, a relationship that has stood still for so long may finally reach its turning point.
