Description

In The Edge Of, Sam returns home from a week-long business trip to a convention, only to feel that something is off as soon as he steps inside. His newlywed wife is asleep in the afternoon instead of eagerly awaiting his arrival, and when he asks her about it, her evasive answers leave him unsettled. Perhaps there is nothing to worry about. Perhaps exhaustion is simply making an ordinary moment seem suspicious. That explanation feels convincing—until Sam takes another look at a selfie his wife sent him while he was away. The photograph shows her in lingerie, but this time he spots a small detail he missed when it first arrived: three inconspicuous fingertips peeking into the edge of the frame. What initially seemed like a weary husband’s unease now has a troubling focal point. Built around the tension between trust and suspicion, The Edge Of turns a homecoming and an intimate photograph into the beginning of an unsettling mystery.
