The Distance Between Us is a light-hearted visual novel built around romance, friendship, and the chemistry between its characters. You play as Reno, a young man recently expelled from college who gets an unexpected chance to start over at Reise Academy, a renowned sports college. His fresh start comes with another surprise: his long-lost childhood friends are there, too. With familiar faces nearby and a clean slate ahead of him, Reno sets out to make the most of his new life. Combining 3DCG visuals, a male protagonist, a school setting, and dating-sim elements, the game leans into a wholesome tone while exploring its cast’s relationships. Although it follows a harem format, the developer also intends for side characters to have sexual relationships with other characters, with future voting set to help determine those elements. Version 0.1a contains the prologue and has no sexual content in the current build. Planned adult content includes vaginal, oral, and anal sex, incest, bondage, and domination. Possible alternate content includes netori, netorare, and futa, with netorare subject to a future vote; these are proposed additions rather than features available in this release.
