The Curse Of Joy is the first installment of a collaboration between LustFight and Siker, drawing on characters from Joy and Sorrow. Set in the seemingly ordinary American town of Joy, it blends horror, adult themes, and offbeat humor with an epic struggle between the cosmic forces of Order and Chaos. Beneath its familiar hometown atmosphere, something far less ordinary is beginning to unfold. You play as a regular young man whose name you choose. Having just completed your university degree, you return to your hometown to look for work and reconnect with old friends. The opening episode introduces several of Joy’s central characters and offers an early look at the storytelling and decisions that will shape the experience. The developers aim to create a compelling, suspenseful narrative with memorable characters, meaningful choices, and moments of deliberately silly humor. Combining a male protagonist, point-and-click interaction, and sandbox elements, The Curse Of Joy features 3D-rendered visuals and animated sequences in a fantasy-horror setting. LustFight and Siker intend to maintain the visual quality of their earlier work while improving the story and writing, balancing the town’s everyday surroundings against the larger conflict at the heart of the game.
