Description

The Assignment is an adult visual novel following a young freshman as he begins his first year studying psychology at Halden University. When Dr. Marlowe tasks him with researching the psychological effects of sissy hypnosis, an apparently routine college assignment becomes something far more personal. What begins as an academic investigation soon raises difficult questions about his own identity and the influences shaping his decisions. With several very different potential partners to choose from, deciding whom to trust will shape everything that follows. Will he hold on to his sense of self, or discover that the boundary between personal choice and outside influence is less certain than he once believed? Those decisions place trust, manipulation, and free will at the heart of his experience. Blending self-discovery with an unfolding mystery surrounding Halden University, The Assignment invites players to look beyond the surface of both the research project and its setting. As the story progresses, the university’s mystery gradually comes into focus alongside the freshman’s increasingly personal exploration of identity and autonomy.
