Tentacle Realm Escape is a free gameplay slice on itch.io and its creator’s first-ever game. Rough around the edges and proudly experimental, this debut blends a stripped-down, Dead by Daylight-inspired escape challenge with a touch of XCOM flavor. You control four survivors with a straightforward goal: repair every objective, then make your way to the exit gate. Getting everyone through the challenge means working toward those repairs while dealing with the threats standing between your team and escape. The key difference is that your survivors have serious firepower. Rather than simply avoiding bosses, you can fight back and take them down—but every boss you kill returns. That twist makes brute force a temporary answer, not a permanent solution: you can eliminate a threat for the moment, but completing the objectives and reaching the gate remain the real path out.
