In Tenebrous, you awaken in an unfamiliar place, surrounded by darkness that stops just short of pitch-black. You have no memory of who you are, how you arrived, or why you’re there. With nothing from your past to guide you, you wander through the gloom. After a long time wandering, you come across a mysterious young woman who seems just as alone as you are. Around twenty years old, she is weak, starving, and without the motivation to carry on. Her presence offers no immediate explanation for your circumstances, but it gives you someone to focus on beyond yourself. You decide to help her. Against a backdrop of darkness, isolation, and lost memories, Tenebrous begins with a simple act of compassion: reaching out to someone in need when you don’t even know your own identity.
