Description

Coming home to Woodpine feels stranger than you expected in Sluttown USA: Hometown Corruption. You always remembered it as a small town, but when your taxi dropped you off yesterday, the place looked almost absurdly tiny—and far less impressive than the home you had pictured during your years away. For the past three years, you’ve worked as a psychologist at SCAREAWAY, a small startup in New York. The company brought you aboard to help develop a mobile app designed to cure people of their fears. Its hypnosis technology showed real promise, though your time there also revealed other, considerably less noble uses for it. Now you’re back in your hometown with the only surviving copy of that app in your possession. Against the drab familiarity of Woodpine, a tool created to overcome fear takes on an unsettling significance—especially when you already know its potential extends beyond helping people.
