Showcase: Bianca And Aaron – Game Night opens a series of short stories with a six-character gathering hosted by newlyweds Bianca and Aaron. Fresh home from their honeymoon, the couple invite friends over for a game night centered on the soccer teams they support. But team loyalties aren’t the only connections at play: the guests bring a complicated history with the hosts. Aaron invites his three best friends, all of whom have a past with Bianca. Among them is his childhood best friend—who also happens to be her ex-boyfriend. With those familiar faces joining the newly married couple, the evening brings old relationships into a new setting. Not wanting to spend the night surrounded only by Aaron and his buddies, Bianca invites her own best friend. Her BFF is wildly promiscuous and more than a little obsessed with Aaron, adding another charged dynamic to the gathering. Between the newlyweds, Bianca’s former connections, and her friend’s fixation on her husband, this opening story sets the stage for a game night with more than soccer beneath the surface.
