Rendered Hearts drops you into an awkward morning with a missing memory, an unfamiliar couch, and a goth girl who already thinks you’re an idiot. Developed by Evol Animations, version 0.2 opens after your graduation celebration—but whatever happened afterward is a complete blank. Now you’re in a house you don’t recognize, and your first introduction isn’t going especially well.

The girl standing over you is Zena, and she expects answers you can’t give. Her roommate Amber takes a very different approach: she decides you’re the most interesting thing to happen all week and promptly calls dibs. Their contrasting personalities turn an uncomfortable wake-up call into a lively setup full of friction, curiosity, and unanswered questions.

The biggest mystery belongs to the third roommate, who hasn’t come home yet. When she finally arrives, you learn she’s the one who found you and brought you back to the house. She knows what happened after the celebration, but she’s in no hurry to explain. That uneven balance of knowledge gives the story its hook: everyone seems a step ahead while you’re still trying to piece together your own night.

Combining 2D CG and 3D CG imagery with animated presentation, Rendered Hearts pairs its adult-game premise with a character-focused mystery.
