Description

Redshift puts you in the boots of a custom-named crew member—Cole by default—aboard the colony ship Amenonuhoko. The vessel was dispatched on a fairly simple mission: journey to a nearby star system and find out whether the whole idea of an extrasolar colony could actually work. Whether that mission has succeeded, or ever will, remains an open question when you awaken from cryostasis under circumstances nobody bothered to explain. The game draws inspiration from classic space-exploration novels and games, with a deliberate twist on the usual post-apocalyptic formula. Instead of a ruined Earth crawling with zombies, Redshift imagines something more grounded: how a group of humans might actually behave once the Earth they knew and loved is simply no longer within reach. It’s a character-driven look at isolation, community, and the psychology of being cut off from home, wrapped around a mystery that greets you the moment your cryopod opens.
