Pony Waifu Sim makes its debut with a first alpha release, combining open-town exploration, dating-sim gameplay, and visual-novel storytelling, with minigames adding variety along the way. Choose whom to pursue first and explore a game born from its creators’ long-standing wish to play this kind of pony dating sim—and their decision to build it themselves. The project brings together Scion on programming, Spookitty on background art and prop designs, Tiarawhy on art and animation, Aspirant on writing, and Strelok on audio engineering. As development continues, the team welcomes feedback, criticism, suggestions, and discussion to help shape an experience that both players and creators can enjoy. Press ESC at any time to open the menu, where you can save or load your game, adjust audio settings, and send feedback about something you like, dislike, or suspect is a bug. Use the mouse wheel to scroll through previous dialogue, and toggle character voice sounds on or off to suit your preferences. Character names are also editable. On Windows, navigate to `%USERPROFILE%/AppData/LocalLow/StudioWhy/Pony Waifu Sim/`; on Mac, open `~/Library/Application Support/StudioWhy/Pony Waifu Sim/`. Find `CharacterNames.data`, open it in any text editor, and change the names of whichever characters you wish.
