Description

Penlight is a high-school visual novel with a strong focus on mental conditioning and the power of suggestion. Although development is ongoing, the current release is playable from beginning to end and offers more than a dozen possible endings. All characters featured in the game are high-school seniors over the age of 18. As graduation approaches, Kyou Koyama finds himself troubled and without friends. With his high-school years nearly behind him, he believes a recently discovered interest could help him salvage his relationships with his classmates: suggestion. Rather than relying on ordinary attempts to connect, he places his hopes in a modified penlight of his own design. Armed with this unusual device, Kyou sets out to change his world, one class representative at a time. His efforts form the heart of a story about strained relationships and attempts to influence others, with multiple endings offering different conclusions to his final chapter of high school.
