Parasite Reforged puts you in the role of Nathan, an ordinary young man whose life takes a drastic turn after he discovers a strange fungal growth in the woods. Infected by an alien parasite, he becomes the host of a hive-mind driven by one purpose: to breed and expand. As Nathan, you must maintain everyday life with your family and classmates while secretly spreading the infection, transforming those around you into devoted “Vectors” who carry out the parasite’s will. At the heart of the game is the Infection Web, a system that lets you gradually corrupt a cast of more than 40 unique characters. Each character progresses through five stages of corruption, beginning with Unaware and Curious and eventually becoming a fully realized Vector. Once converted, these followers help spread the hive-mind on your behalf, extending its influence as the infection gains momentum. Expansion comes with risks. Reckless infection raises Suspicion, and too much heat can attract a Detective’s attention. Investigations may lead to raids on your Nests, while infected girls can be arrested and sent to “The Lab” for decontamination. Managing that pressure is essential to protecting the hive’s progress. The game’s balance remains a work in progress, with a slow opening that gives way to snowballing growth as the infection spreads.
