Parasite In City: Nightwalkers is an unofficial, entirely non-commercial fan project by Ms Niche, conceived as a new chapter in the legacy of Parasite in City. Built in Unity 2022, it preserves the original game’s sprites, sounds, atmosphere, and identity while introducing new enemies, two additional weapons, more intuitive controls, and fresh gameplay systems and encounters. Rather than reinventing the original, Nightwalkers offers a deliberately short, focused experience that gives longtime fans a familiar world to revisit with new challenges to discover. This pixel-art, side-scrolling action and survival-horror game features a female protagonist and encounters with Zombie Grunts, Zombie Dogs, and Flying Bugs. Its expanded controls include rebinding and broad gamepad support across gameplay, menus, the Gallery, and other interactions, although physical-controller testing remains unconfirmed. Version 1.05 brings a camera closer to the original game’s framing, Normal, Hard, and Nightmare difficulty settings saved separately for each profile, and a resizable windowed mode with Alt+Enter support. Fit Screen and Pixel Perfect display options, an optional lightning-flash effect, and adjustable audio and brightness settings offer additional presentation choices. Combat and encounters incorporate revised enemy balance, a melee tutorial, and hold-to-escape grab controls: escape progress pauses when the displayed key is released and resumes when it is held again, without a time limit, progress decay, wrong-input penalties, or damage for failing to escape. Dialogue pauses enemies, projectiles, hazards, and encounter progression until the conversation ends. The uncensored adult content includes sexual violence, bestiality, and impregnation themes, with pregnancy content also available in the Gallery.
