Description

Parallel Fantasy is a fantasy RPG adventure from developer and publisher CircleKAME, following a young heroine who sets out with a plan and faces an uncertain fate. The story’s central threads come together in the second half, while most battle defeats allow the adventure to continue rather than triggering a Game Over. Certain bad endings are exceptions, giving setbacks a place in the journey without making every lost fight the end of the road. Parallel Fantasy IF+ shifts the focus to a Scholar whose name can be customized. Set in a world of adventurers, this entry follows the protagonist as she tackles various problems while also teaching at a school. Like the main game, it generally avoids Game Over screens outside of certain bad endings. Parallel Fantasy 0+ follows the premise of a young heroine embarking on a planned adventure, with the main story taking shape later on and most failed battles leaving room to continue. Across these entries, the catalog emphasizes fantasy role-playing, adventure, and a female viewpoint. The listed release is censored, offers partial English support, and runs on Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. Version information identifies Parallel Fantasy as 2.1a, with a replay mode; IF+ as 2.2d, dated July 3, 2015; and 0+ as 1.1. IF+ version 2.2d is not compatible with saves from the previous version. The “+” in 0+ marks an update to version 1.0, with balancing and other revisions noted as ongoing. To play, extract the files to your preferred location and launch the game’s executable.
