Description

NTREX Tale Of The Night-Crawling Village unfolds on the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival, when an annual nighttime ritual puts the village’s marriages under strain. Married men shut their doors and windows tightly, determined to keep their wives beyond the reach of the night’s revelry. For Gonzō, a lonely widower, however, the occasion is something he has eagerly awaited all year. As darkness settles over the village, Gonzō sets his sights on Shizuyo, widely regarded as its most beautiful woman. Convinced that her husband Sakichi’s shortcomings in the bedroom have left her dissatisfied, he imagines himself as the man she must secretly want. With anticipation clouding his judgment, Gonzō creeps through the pitch-black night toward a woman whose wishes he has merely presumed to know.
