Description

NPC Tales: The Shopkeeper is a tech demo offering an early look at a larger project built around a free-use fantasy premise. Its central idea blurs the boundary between reality and game logic, placing you in a world where NPCs come to life in unexpected ways while remaining bound by familiar gameplay rules. Other characters behave like conventional NPCs, responding only when particular game mechanics are triggered. As the player, however, you are not confined to those same limitations: you can interact with the world in ways that extend beyond ordinary gameplay. That contrast between rule-bound characters and a player able to transcend those rules forms the core of this preview, introducing the concept behind the broader project.
