Description

In Not Even The Gods, sin saturates a world where goodness is treated as a fault and evil always comes out on top. This anthology series follows the tangled, intersecting lives of people struggling to survive amid dysfunction and indifference. Their stories unfold in a society where necessity drives unfortunate decisions, and doing what it takes to endure offers no promise of a better tomorrow. For these doomed protagonists, mortality is a recurring presence rather than a distant concern. Desperate circumstances shape their choices, while the cost of survival reaches beyond simply staying alive. Making it through does not necessarily mean emerging whole, and each life is bound up in the complications of a world that has little compassion left to offer. Bleak and uncompromising, Not Even The Gods explores the uneasy divide between survival and self-preservation. In a setting where evil prevails and even endurance comes at a price, people meet death much as they meet life: fast, hard, and loud.
