Description

MoonFall / Butterfly Lovers is a 2021 galgame inspired by Chinese legends, weaving romance and an apocalyptic journey into a story about love, identity, and the future. Before the moon falls, time spent with the beautiful Kaori frames a central question: is it better to remain in a dreamlike utopia or confront the harshness of reality? Amid the ruins of a city and a church, the protagonist begins a journey through the end of the world alongside Xun, a silver-haired girl. Their path is unsteady and their destination uncertain, but moments of surprise and emotion make their time together unforgettable. With its contrast between an idealized refuge and a devastated world, MoonFall / Butterfly Lovers places human connection at the heart of its story. As the protagonist and Xun move toward an unknown future, their shared journey explores what love and a sense of self can mean when the world around them is falling apart.
