Description

Summoning a Vengeance Demon sounds like a terrible idea—but in Monster Lover, the main character is desperate enough to try it. After scammers trick him into turning his father’s museum into an upscale rage room, he finds himself watching his father’s legacy get destroyed. With nowhere else to turn, he reaches for an old museum artifact connected to an ancient demon. The crooks behind the scheme have done even worse in the past, and his desperation leads him to seek help from a decidedly dangerous source. Enter Balasque, a demon who takes a liking to the overwhelmed protagonist. That might be the first bit of good luck he’s had—or another reason to worry. Monster Lover puts its hero between ruthless scammers and the uncertain favor of a Vengeance Demon. He’s already in over his head, and while Balasque’s interest could offer a way out, there’s no telling whether being liked by a demon is something to celebrate.
