Description

In Magna Fortuna, Ayana Tomori is a priestess destined to inherit her family’s shrine, but the life laid out before her leaves her longing for more. Beautiful, intelligent, talented, and—above all—very modest, she dreams of escaping the dull routine of her everyday world. On one fateful, rain-soaked night, a crash of lightning jolts her awake, and a blinding light suddenly carries her into another realm. There, Ashkelon, the world’s foremost god, entrusts Ayana with the role of a hero. Her task is to unite the kingdoms of humans, elves, and dwarves against dark forces threatening to overturn the balance of the land. Far from the familiar responsibilities of her family’s shrine, she must now face a quest whose outcome will shape the future of an entire world. Yet saving this unfamiliar realm is only part of Ayana’s story. How will her experiences change the young priestess who once wished for a different life? Can she fulfill the mission Ashkelon has given her and find a way home—and, after everything she encounters, will returning still be what she wants?
