Description

Jack Jensen arrives in the city of Little Regina in his old car, following clues in the search for Lucy, the missing sister of his friend Alexandra. Jack, whose name can be changed, has no idea that his investigation will lead him into the lives of Jessie, a feisty soccer player; her roommate Christa, a tough deputy sheriff with a heart of gold; and Loki, a mischievous cat. Despite their very different lives, Jack and Jessie gradually find themselves drawn to one another. What develops between them changes both in ways neither could have anticipated, but their growing romance is tangled in secrets—not only their own, but Christa’s as well. As these flawed characters search for what they want from life, their connections become inseparable from the choices Jack makes. Little Regina weaves its missing-person mystery and romance around Jack’s struggle between redemption and a descent into darkness. He can try to become a better man or let the monster within him prey on enemies and innocents alike. His actions carry consequences that reach beyond Jack, Jessie, and Christa to everyone their lives touch—and saving everyone is not always possible.
