Description

Set during the Edo period, Invoke Halo unfolds in a world marked by tension between samurai and supernatural beings known as Yokai. At the heart of the story is a young man who dreams of becoming a samurai while living a modest life with his younger sister in a small village. Beyond their quiet surroundings, a dangerous power holds the potential to overturn the world they know. Powerful Yokai are imprisoned within iron seals called Invoke Halo, which can be used to summon them into the world. Yet releasing even one comes with a far-reaching consequence: all the other Yokai awaken as well. These seals respond only to the touch of the strongest, placing their extraordinary power beyond the reach of most. When the strongest samurai in the land hears rumors of Invoke Halo, he sees an opportunity to find an opponent worthy of his skill. His search for a true challenge leads him to summon a formidable Yokai, setting off a sweeping upheaval. As more Yokai begin to appear, the balance of the world shatters, transforming the backdrop of a young man’s samurai ambitions into an age of uncertainty and supernatural conflict.
