Description

In My Place follows Casper, a man who has spent years fixated on superstar Leo and the life surrounding him: his fame, his wife, and the icy loyalty of his assistant, Eve. Casper knows Leo’s world better than he knows himself, but this is no ordinary celebrity obsession. He sees Leo as his other half—the man living the life that should have belonged to him. When Leo commits an unforgivable act, that fixation turns into a hunger for revenge. Casper doesn’t want to kill Leo. He wants to dismantle him, seducing his wife, turning Eve against him, and taking everything that defines him, piece by piece. At Casper’s side is his girlfriend, whose love reaches beyond death and whose devotion comes with neither a soul nor limits. She is willing to burn the world for him, making her a ruthless companion in his campaign of destruction. As Casper pushes deeper into Leo’s life, hatred and desire become increasingly difficult to separate. Ruining Leo is no longer enough; he needs Leo to witness every loss and understand who is responsible. Yet each step toward claiming the life he covets brings Casper closer to a disturbing realization: rather than hunting a monster, he is becoming one. And even as Leo’s world collapses, he may still drag Casper down with him.
