Description

What kind of official will you become in Imperial Bureaucracy Hero? Set in a bleak, distant future, this visual novel puts you behind a desk rather than on the battlefield. You’re neither a heroic marine nor an Imperial guardsman, but a mid-level bureaucrat serving a dying science-fiction regime that spans uncounted worlds. Charged with the seemingly impossible task of repairing its failing machinery, you must untangle red tape, settle disputes, solve problems, and hear out angry citizens—all while enduring the empire you serve and carrying out your duty to the Emperor. Shape your approach by choosing your traits. Will you be a schizophrenic empath, a paranoid administrative genius, or a nihilistic manipulator? There’s no grinding, and no need to chase money: your position in the organization that governs everything gives your word more value than a stack of cash. That authority also attracts people eager to influence your decisions, including women who offer sex instead of conventional bribes. Others, from lonely guards to bored scribes, simply want companionship or a little pleasure amid the misery of Imperial life. Beyond the paperwork, an entire continent awaits. Travel through cities, venture into underworlds, or stop to hear a song along the coast. Encounter soldiers, workers, nobles, picked men, and pilgrims, alongside wanderers, gangsters, sinners, saints, scam artists, and grieving mothers. Your involvement can make you the hero or villain of their stories, while your personal life can lead you into bed with a wide variety of women. Or leave intimacy aside and focus entirely on your official responsibilities: sex is optional, and playing Imperial Bureaucracy Hero as a literal bureaucracy simulator is a valid choice.
