Description

In Home Prisoner, a successful businessman who owns a large company seems to have everything he could ever want. Once among the happiest men alive, he sees his comfortable life shattered by a devastating accident that leaves him facing the rest of his days in a wheelchair. Then a team of scientists from a private laboratory offers him hope of a cure—with a staggering price tag of $500 million. Desperate for a chance to recover, he sells his company and all his property, falls into debt, and waits for the first dose of medicine. As the days drag on, hope gives way to growing uncertainty. What if the injections fail? What if everything he has sacrificed turns out to have been for nothing? With his fortune gone and his future hanging on an unproven promise, the waiting becomes an ordeal of its own. Eventually, he convinces himself that things cannot possibly get worse. But when his wife gives him a birthday gift, he is forced to reconsider. Home Prisoner follows a man whose seemingly perfect life has collapsed, leaving him caught between the promise of recovery and the fear of what comes next.
