Description

Start your first day as a park ranger alongside Chloe in Hard Times At Sequoia State Park, an adult interactive narrative set amid fresh air, bears, and plenty of personal tension. With a former lover, an attractive boss, and a bitter rival complicating her new job, settling into ranger life promises to be anything but straightforward. Will you take a passive approach, a dominant one, or explore a little of both as you follow Chloe’s story? The game is a full release, with its initial content focused on Becky and Chloe. Additional stories are planned to give more cast members their time in the spotlight, and all of this planned DLC will be free for existing owners. Development on the expansion has begun, with the content still in the early planning and concept stages. The planned expansion includes three separate storylines featuring Sara, Alice, and Ms. Dubois, unlocked through path choices in the main story. Each will follow a single path across seven chapters, with approximately 25,000 words across the three stories. The number of CG illustrations and mid-scene images is expected to remain roughly comparable to the initial content. Further ambitions include quality-of-life improvements, voiced dialogue, fully voiced narration, and voice acting for intimate scenes. These are goals rather than confirmed features: their inclusion in the DLC will depend on how well the initial release performs, and they are not currently feasible additions to the base game. The developers also plan to continue sharing progress updates as work on the extra content moves forward.
