Description

Grandpa’s Lesson is a slow-burn visual novel centered on betrayal, guilt, and a relationship gradually undermined from within. When you invite your aging grandfather, Richard, to spend a few weeks with you and your fiancée, Suzy, the arrangement seems like a simple act of kindness. Strict, traditional, and somewhat forgetful since his accident, he appears to be an elderly man in need of support. Beneath Richard’s frail appearance and awkward behavior, however, lies a calculating personality with intentions that threaten your life together. Taking advantage of your long work hours and Suzy’s dissatisfaction with the relationship, he steadily pushes boundaries while maintaining the appearance of a harmless guest. As seemingly innocent interactions become increasingly troubling, Suzy struggles to reconcile her discomfort with her belief that she is merely helping an old man. Through its gradual pacing and focus on manipulation, Grandpa’s Lesson explores how misplaced trust, rationalization, and conflicting desires can erode a couple’s boundaries.
