Description

Nearly five years after a devastating tragedy, the once vibrant city of Crown Crest is still struggling to rebuild. The collapse of The Colonnade, its most cherished symbol of unity, shattered the city and upended hundreds of thousands of lives. It also left behind a new social class: the SURs, or Survivors of Colonnade. Branded as untouchable, diseased, infectious, and suicidal, these survivors face a society convinced they carry “SUR fever”—an alleged illness said to deteriorate the mind, provoke hallucinations, and cause suicidal thoughts. Elijah Grand is a SUR, and he has spent the last five years hiding that identity while trying to escape his past. Yet memories of the collapse are becoming harder to suppress. Stress, excitement, and fear bring them flooding back in episodes his doctor calls “recalls.” As these intrusions grow more frequent and disrupt his everyday life, Elijah begins to question both his sanity and the beliefs surrounding SUR fever. Are his experiences merely memories, or signs of something more? Does the disease even exist? Above all, can he keep his secret and find a normal life in a world he has been absent from for over five years? His two best friends, Lucien and Sebastian, offer support, but they have a dangerous secret of their own—one that has placed them on a list of potential victims. Sebastian’s family has enough power and influence to keep the pair safe for now, though wealth and political connections cannot conceal the truth forever. In Grand Kokoro – Episode 1, follow Elijah, Lucien, and Sebastian as they uncover the mysteries behind The Colonnade’s collapse, the powerful families called “The Legacy’s,” and a political movement known as “The Pure” that could change everything. Being a SUR isn’t what you think it is.
