Description

Gorgo – Mother Of Sparta takes place in Ancient Greece shortly after King Leonidas falls at the Battle of Thermopylae. In the wake of his death, his widow, Gorgo, demands an audience with the Greek war council. Instead of receiving the recognition she seeks, she is humiliated by the politicians. Rebuffed by the council, Gorgo turns to you: Ephialtes, a corrupt economic baron of Athens. What she does not know is that you betrayed her husband. Her search for support brings her to the very person whose hidden treachery makes this appeal so fraught. Against a backdrop of war and political hostility, the premise centers on the uneasy relationship between Leonidas’ widow and the man she has unknowingly approached for help. Gorgo’s determination to be heard stands in stark contrast to Ephialtes’ corruption, placing concealed betrayal at the heart of the story.
