Finding Color In The Ashes is a fantasy dating sim that pairs cozy inn management with time spent getting to know a witch named Lucy. Restore a ruined inn at your own pace, deciding how to spend each part of the day as you gradually bring the place back to life. Mornings, afternoons, evenings, and nights offer a structure for your daily routine, while weekends feature their own events. Life at the inn also means keeping the surrounding area clear of monsters. Equip weapons, armor, and spells, then face enemies in turn-based combat built around dice. A variety of equipment and magic is available to buy, learn, and upgrade, giving you ways to strengthen your character alongside your work on the inn. Progress comes from more than fighting: conversations with Lucy and your guests, potion crafting, monster battles, and other activities all earn experience points. Spend that experience on abilities that improve your combat effectiveness, unlock new spells, or make changes to the inn. Beginning in summer, the game unfolds over a full year, with each season lasting roughly 90 days and bringing its own associated gameplay.
