Description

Fresh off a quest to exorcise a terrible yokai, Hatsuka Otowa is heading home when her phone rings. It’s her father, calling from Mizumori Shrine—the Shinto shrine her family has operated for generations—with a new assignment that needs to start right away. Having barely made it back from her last mission, Hatsuka protests, wondering why the job has to fall to her rather than her older sister, Keika. In the end, though, she strikes a deal with her dad and agrees to take it on. When she arrives at the shrine that sent out the SOS, a young priest welcomes her and explains the situation: yokai have begun appearing in the neighborhood, accompanied by strangely unseasonable snowfall. Sensing a mysterious force lurking in the nearby woods, Hatsuka becomes convinced that it is the source of all the local troubles—and she confidently sets off to see her quest through.
