Description

Daily Life: Blacked follows Ray, a well-adjusted Black man adopted as an infant by the Mullers, a loving white family from the suburbs. Although growing up brought plenty of hardships, his adoptive family’s affection and support helped him build a future as a successful lawyer. His journey brings together professional achievement, family ties, and the personal struggles that success alone cannot resolve. The description also names Erik, a lawyer who takes genuine satisfaction in working hard to defend people who cannot defend themselves. At home, however, he faces a less contented family life: his wife is never in the mood for intimacy, while his stepdaughter worries about her parents. The contrast between fulfilling work and an unhappy household puts strained relationships at the heart of the story. The short teaser demo introduces Amy, a hardworking university student who has always made work, education, and success her priorities. Determined to set a good example for the younger sister who looks up to her, she has devoted herself to getting ahead. Yet one deeply personal complication challenges that carefully ordered life: she is in love with her boss.
