Description

Set in Canada in the early 2000s, Christine’s Care is a slice-of-life yuri visual novel about starting over and discovering unexpected connections. Following a painful breakup with her boyfriend, Christine moves to a big city and begins a new role as a nurse. Her assignment brings her into the life of Hannah, a woman her own age who is paralyzed from the waist down. Intelligent and beautiful, Hannah also carries a deep bitterness about her condition—a complexity that immediately captures Christine’s attention. As Christine and Hannah grow closer, their connection holds the potential to change both of their lives. Christine may be able to help Hannah rediscover hope, but caring for her could also lead Christine toward changes she never anticipated. Their developing bond sits at the heart of a story about emotional vulnerability, companionship, and the possibilities that emerge after difficult beginnings. Christine’s new surroundings also introduce her to Marlon, a muscular Latina with a commanding presence, and Liz, a delicate, half-Asian woman who takes a submissive role in their relationship. Their dominant/submissive dynamic is unfamiliar to Christine, yet she soon finds herself fascinated by it. When Marlon invites her to take control and dominate Liz, Christine discovers that she enjoys the experience more than she expected. Meanwhile, Christine’s boss, Donna, is facing troubles in her marriage. Suspecting that her husband has been unfaithful, she finds herself on uncertain emotional ground. As Christine navigates these very different relationships, Donna’s struggles raise another question: will Christine offer the support—and the shoulder to lean on—that her boss may need?
