Description

Checkpoint is a text-based sandbox RPG built in HTML and set in the county of Montierra. Beyond the county’s borders, a mysterious apocalypse has turned humans into monsters, while society within Montierra is gradually falling apart. Against this dystopian backdrop, you guide a male protagonist whose development depends on the decisions you make as you loot, fight, and explore. The game combines open-ended adventure with turn-based combat, alongside corruption, stripping, and transformation themes. Exploring Montierra involves encounters with NPCs, collecting loot, managing equipment, and tackling a lockpicking minigame. NPC interactions include asking characters to strip, while a debug mode allows you to increase or decrease their stats. Developed by TheSimpleMan101, Checkpoint features 2D computer-generated imagery, with the developer having switched from DAZ3D to AI-generated artwork and noting plans to improve the visuals in future updates. The uncensored, English-language version 0.0.4 Demo was released on October 4, 2026. It supports Windows, Linux, and Mac; to play, extract the files and open index.html.
