Description

Bunny Black follows Dierks, a lecherous adventurer whose expedition into the labyrinth known as the Maou’s Forest ends in defeat at the hands of the maou himself. Rather than finish him off, the demon lord takes pity on Dierks and offers him a place in his army. With an unexpected second chance, Dierks sets his sights on climbing the demon army’s ranks while defeating—and pursuing sexual encounters with—the female challengers who arrive to attack his new master. Combining dungeon-crawling RPG exploration, strategy RPG elements, and adventure-style storytelling, Bunny Black puts a male protagonist on the demons’ side of the conflict. Its fantasy setting includes demons and a dragon, while its extensive adult content begins early and includes sexual violence, sex-based energy transfer, and encounters involving one man and multiple women. A harem ending and New Game Plus are also among its features. The game is listed as a long experience, with an estimated playtime of 30–50 hours. Developed and published by SofthouseChara, Bunny Black is also known as BUNNYBLACK and バニーブラック. The Japanese release arrived on July 30, 2010, followed by an English fan translation from Seiha Translations on April 1, 2015. This listing covers the censored version 1.21; the sequel is Bunny Black 2. For the Windows release, the supplied setup instructions call for extracting the files, mounting BUNNYBLACK.mdf with a program such as PowerISO, and running install.EXE. Place and run Bunny Black English Patch v1.00.exe in the installation folder, skip the v1.20 patch as directed by the supplied instructions, then copy the v1.21 files into that folder and launch Bunny.EXE. On Windows 10, the instructions additionally recommend extracting the mounted image’s contents and using Windows 7 compatibility mode for the installer, English patch, and game executable. Japanese error messages about creating saves may be caused by permissions in the default Program Files/bunny location; running as administrator or moving the game folder can resolve this. A missing executable after patching may instead indicate antivirus quarantine. Any separately listed unofficial port or version is not a developer release.
