Description

In Bad Hero, Frank walks free after 18 years in prison, released suddenly for reasons he doesn’t understand. The city he returns to has changed beyond recognition: one powerful figure holds sway, gangs roam the streets, and a new synthetic drug called Mirage is spreading. Local merchants pay tribute to others, and even the prostitutes offer no friendly welcome. Frank could leave the chaos behind and settle into a solitary life—but walking away has never been his style. Accustomed to being the best, Frank refuses to accept having nothing. If someone else has what he wants, he’s prepared to take it, and anyone standing in his way would do well to step aside. His return draws him into a struggle for power on the city’s streets, where money, cars, and relationships with different women become central to his new life. Before he can reclaim his place, however, Frank urgently needs a job. His former girlfriend and her two daughters have taken all his money, and he intends to find her and recover it. Work at a private college brings him into contact with two sisters whose father abandoned them in childhood. As Frank becomes a loving father figure to them, his new responsibilities unfold alongside his determination to regain what he has lost.
