Arrow Lander is a traditional RPG starring Ozan, a vagrant who finds himself in the role of hero. Gather companions to fight at his side and set out to defeat an evil archmage. Keeping your party together requires more than winning battles: your decisions in combat can affect your companions’ loyalty and whether they remain with you. Enemy attacks have a chance to capture female companions, though this is extremely rare while Ozan is present. If he flees or only a few companions remain, the risk rises dramatically. You can resist capture or allow it to happen, but retreating before your allies lowers their affection—and if it falls too far, they may leave permanently. Capture leads to an automatic one-on-one encounter involving sexual violence. A victory results in the captured companion being knocked unconscious on the spot, while a defeat means she is taken away and removed from the party, leaving her whereabouts uncertain. Relationships also influence what happens during a stay at the inn. Companions with sufficiently high affection can trigger special events, with their “H” level affecting the adult interactions available. Winning battles steadily builds affection, making party relationships, combat outcomes, and the risks of capture closely connected parts of the adventure.
