Description

In Angel’s Guardian, losing his job as a bouncer without explanation is only the beginning of the main character’s troubles. His father has stolen a large sum of money from the town’s kingpin, leaving him to face punishment for a crime he never committed. Just as he is about to pay the price, an unexpected phone call changes the course of his life. Angel, the kingpin’s daughter, needs a new bodyguard—and there is no one else available for the job. Reluctantly, the kingpin offers the former bouncer a way to repay his father’s debt: take responsibility for Angel’s protection. What begins as a threat of punishment becomes an obligation he never asked for. Caught between his father’s actions and the demands of a powerful criminal, the protagonist must step into a role far different from the one he left behind. Protecting Angel may give him a chance to settle the debt, but this arrangement is anything but a simple way out.
