Nearly killed and facing the failure of your lifelong ambition, you receive an unexpected second chance. Guided by unknown forces, you discover a legendary shield said to withstand even the mightiest blows. It could be the key to turning the battle in your favor and finally killing The Demon, but this ancient treasure comes with a complication: the shield is actually a haughty, uncooperative princess from a long-forgotten era. Making her a useful ally will be anything but straightforward, especially when she seems far more inclined to put you in your place. The adventure combines mostly scripted combat, puzzles, and choices that shape your hero’s personality and influence how the heroine treats you. Accept her domineering behavior or push back and risk being bullied even harder; there is no dominant route, so your decisions determine the nature of the dynamic rather than letting you take control. Compared with the creator’s previous game, Ai Shield features more artwork, including a character bust for the main heroine and several first-person-perspective CGs.
