With graduation approaching, she must confront her bully once more while wrestling with questions about who she is and who she wants to become. Her relationships with friends, family, and enemies shape a deeply personal transition into the next stage of her life. This slow-burn visual novel places characterization ahead of elaborate plot twists and gimmicks. Stephanie’s changing relationships, emerging feelings, and struggles with identity unfold gradually, giving the cast room to develop rather than hurrying through important emotional moments. As of v0.9.5, the story remains focused on that patient buildup, with romance and interpersonal tension supporting its character-driven approach. Originally started as an experiment and learning exercise, Abnormal is its creator’s first game.
