Now developed in Ren’Py, Unwritten Moments: Just One Time moves away from its discontinued Unreal Engine incarnation to better support its emphasis on inner thoughts, character development, relationships, choices, and pacing. The original first playable release covered the opening chapter and featured real-time third-person exploration, interactive objects and character interactions, cinematic story sequences, pre-rendered memories and flashbacks, dynamic environmental audio, dialogue and quest-reminder systems, multiple camera modes, and graphics and audio settings. Those features belong to the earlier Unreal version; the shift to Ren’Py lets the developer concentrate on writing, additional renders, deeper characterization, and meaningful choices. Unreal Engine remains part of LeaDev’s future plans for a separate, more exploration-focused project. The current release is Chapter 2, dated August 19, 2026, following the Ren’Py re-release on July 22, 2026. Presented in English and uncensored, the game combines 3DCG visuals with a female protagonist, romance, dating-sim elements, and adult themes; animation is planned rather than listed as an existing feature.
