Description
Tool XLibrary – Advanced Game Library Manager for F95Zone brings your adult game collection together across Windows, macOS, Linux and Steam Deck. Version 3.8.1 combines games from F95Zone, Steam, itch.io, DLSite, VNDB, GOG, Getchu and other sources into a single entry per title, letting you discover, download, launch and update games from one place. Press Download and XLibrary selects the best mirror, falls back to another when necessary, extracts multi-part archives using passwords from the source thread, installs the game and automatically chooses the appropriate launch file for your system. Supported download options include Pixeldrain, MEGA, MediaFire, BuzzHeavier, RPDL torrents, owned itch.io games and hand-offs to JDownloader. New-version notifications and optional automatic updates work library-wide or per game, while torrent updates retrieve only changed files. Updates install alongside existing versions, back up saves first and carry over mods and translations, so you can return to the previous build if the new one crashes. Organize your collection with grid or list views, exclusion filters, saved filter presets, custom tags and bulk editing for hundreds of games. Playtime tracking, a personal journal, version history and completion statuses help you keep track of what you have played, while multiple launchers per game accommodate different setups. XLibrary supports Sandboxie and Locale Emulator on Windows; Wine, Proton, UMU and Bottles on Linux; CrossOver on macOS; and runtimes such as Ruffle, DOSBox and ScummVM. Import existing collections from F95Checker, Game-List or Gamelist-Manager, or add games in bulk from links. Search results and game information arrive through the XLibrary catalog server in one fast request, without F95 rate limits, and remain available where the source sites are blocked, alongside full-size covers and screenshots. The browser extension lets you add games or add and install them in one click, change their status, rate them, write notes, check playtime and find other listings directly on F95 and other supported sites. It supports Chrome, signed Firefox, Edge, Opera, Brave, Vivaldi and other Chromium browsers. For couch play, XLibrary offers full controller navigation with button hints, a guide overlay and rumble feedback, plus a complete Steam Input layout editor with gyro and stick calibration. Its dedicated Steam Deck mode runs as its own shell in Gaming Mode and includes an in-game overlay with an on-screen keyboard, trackpad cursor, volume and brightness controls, Steam downloads and Wi-Fi sign-in. This mode remains in alpha, with rough edges and further improvements planned. Downloads pause during gameplay and, on Steam Deck, while running on battery. Your library stays on your machine, and every request to the XLibrary server is displayed in plain form under Settings → Privacy for comparison with your own network traffic. Local backups, portable mode and optional encrypted backup and synchronization through your own Google Drive provide additional flexibility. Developers can extend the manager through a full plugin SDK covering sources, importers, filters, custom fields and game actions, while the AI Agents hub supports MCP-connected assistants. Getting started is straightforward: install the appropriate build, add the browser extension from XLibrary’s Extension page, then use Add to XLibrary on an F95 thread, the app’s Add Game or Bulk Add options, or an existing library import. Download a game to prepare it for play, and optionally sign in with Google for encrypted cloud backup and sync. Available packages include Windows setup and portable editions, a macOS Apple Silicon build, and Linux x64 AppImage and DEB builds; xlibrary.app provides platform downloads, checksums, feature information and an FAQ. The app supports nine languages: English, German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. XLibrary remains a free, spare-time project with infrastructure funded by its developer, who encourages users to support continued development by trying and sharing CharTale or subscribing to it; CharTale also offers a partner program. The XLibrary Discord provides support, updates, previews and community discussion.

Changelog
3.8.1
- Fixed: "Update" on a game tile, the "Updates Available" filter and its counter now compare the site's version with your version of the game, the one installed through XLibrary or marked as "My version", otherwise the last one you played. Installing a version, "My version", "Set to latest available" and "I've updated" take the badge off right away, and games you never installed or played no longer pile up in "Updates Available". The game card, the browser panel, notices and AI agents count updates the same way, and "Skip this update" works from your version too
- Fixed: The version a game shows in your library follows its main site on its own again: when the site gets a new version, only the version number changes, your title, description, cover and other edits stay as they are
- Added: When a new version comes out for a game you are "Waiting for Update" for or playing, XLibrary says "<game> <version> is out" once for that version, even if the game isn't installed through XLibrary. "Open" takes you to the game card, straight to what's new when the site has a changelog. Group the library "By update on site" to see what was updated today and this week
- Fixed: RPDL torrents of other games no longer show up among a game's download options: a search for "Aurelia" no longer offers "AurelianNostrum" or "SantaAurelia", the game's title has to match whole words, and weak matches are left out (a manual search still finds them)
- Fixed: In a game's sources, the Manual source no longer says "Primary" when another source is the main one
3.8.0
- Added: "+ Add to library" in the Catalog adds a game with all its sites: details come from the main site, and F95, **********, DLsite and the other sites from the catalog are added as links, one per site, without loading them. In the game card's "Where" block you tick the sites to add and pick the main one; from a tile all sites are added. Undo removes the game with all its links
- Added: The sources of a game show "Also on: …", sites of the same catalog game it doesn't have yet. "+" adds a site with its link and version from the XLibrary catalog, without loading the site
- Added: Every source of a game shows its latest version and date, and "newer" when that source has a version you don't have
- Added: Tags you love: "Love" in the search suggestions, in a tag's menu in the game card and in the gamepad menu. The Catalog opens with a "From your tags" row of games with at least one of your loved tags, it follows "18+ only" and the tags you always hide, and leaves out the games you already have, and "All" opens the whole list. Games with your tags get a heart on the tile and in search results, and the card shows which of your tags match. Loved tags sit next to "Always hide", with Undo, and a tag can't be both: hiding a loved tag removes the love, and loving a hidden tag stops hiding it. Loved tags sync together with "Always hide"
- Added: The "What's new" tab of a game card shows how long you played each version, "You played 3 h", and marks the version you played last
- Added: The browser extension 3.3.0, which comes with this version, updates itself: in Chrome and other Chromium browsers it reloads with the new files when XLibrary brings a new version, and Firefox gets its updates from edge.xlibrary.app. When the extension is older than the one XLibrary comes with, Settings → Browser extension marks it "Out of date" and shows what to do, and the panel on game sites shows "Update the extension", one click in Firefox
- Added: Removing a game can take its files with it: tick "Also delete the game files" in the delete dialog to see its folders and their size. XLibrary copies the saves to the saves backup first, then moves the folders to the Trash, where you can restore them. A folder you chose by hand outside the games folder goes only with its own tick, and the games folder itself, links, shared Wine/Proton prefixes, XLibrary data and other games' files are never touched. When the Trash isn't available, or the saves couldn't be backed up, XLibrary asks before going on, and the game leaves the library only after its files are gone
- Improved: Game updates follow the game's main source. Other sites often number versions their own way ("Ep. 5" against "0.5.2", a Steam edition against an F95 thread), so a "newer" version there no longer counts as an update in the updates list and counter, notices, the game card or for AI agents, it stays visible on that source in the game card
- Improved: The sort list and the sort direction button in the library are one control. While the sort list is open, the arrow keys and Enter work in the list: Enter picks a sort instead of opening the highlighted game
- Improved: The local port XLibrary uses for the browser extension, Google sign-in and AI agents now answers only on this computer and can't be reached from the network
- Improved: "Move <version> to Trash" in the launcher and the cleanup of previous versions after an update follow the same rules as deleting a game with its files: they never take the whole games folder, shared prefixes or the folders of other versions and games, a hand-picked folder outside the games folder goes only when you remove it yourself, and the window says why a folder can't go
- Fixed: Windows paths in a game's launch options reach the game as typed: -config "C:Gamesx.ini" no longer turns into C:Gamesx.ini. On macOS and Linux a quoted Wine path also arrives whole
- Fixed: Adding a source with the address of a source the game already has replaces that source's address instead of adding a second link to the same site, and games that already had such duplicate links keep one link per source
- Fixed: In a game's version history, a version number on a line of its own, such as "0.7.0", starts a new version instead of being glued to the previous one, and gets its own playtime
- Fixed: In the browser panel, the hint under a host that opens in the browser wraps to a second line instead of being cut off
3.7.1
- Fixed: F95 now hides every download link in a game's first post behind a confirmation page that opens only for signed-in members. "Download from mirrors" and "Add and install" in the browser panel no longer say there are no download links: the panel lists the hosts of the build for your system. Click one, press Continue on F95 and download in the browser. An F95 download link pasted into the game card now explains this instead of "XLibrary does not know this link"
- Improved: With the browser extension 3.2.0, which comes with this version, one click is enough: click a host in the panel, press Continue on the F95 page that opens, and XLibrary picks up the file link itself: it downloads and installs the game and closes the host tab. Hosts with a "not a robot" check open in an XLibrary window. Continue on F95 is always pressed by you, never by the extension
- Fixed: Hidden links that F95 puts in the download list as a trap for bots are no longer taken for mirrors
- Fixed: Builds for iOS are never picked for a computer, the same as Android builds
- Fixed: BuzzHeavier links on its new bzzhr.to address are recognised
- Fixed: RPDL torrents with a joined-up name, such as "AttackOnSurveyCorps-0.32.2", now match their game ("Attack on Survey Corps") without asking, and a longer title such as "SummerMemories" is not taken for "Summer"
- Fixed: The library sort order can be reversed with the mouse: a button next to the sort list switches between ascending and descending, choosing the current sort again reverses it too, and sorting is available in a narrow window
3.7.0
- Added: On Steam Deck and Linux your installed games now show up in the Steam library on their own: each game gets its own shortcut with covers from the catalog, goes into the "XLibrary" collection and gets the "Gamepad with Mouse Trackpad" controls. Remove a game in XLibrary and its shortcut leaves Steam too. Settings → Steam → "Add to Steam" chooses "All installed games", "Only marked games" (mark a game with "Add to Steam" in its menu) or "Don't add"
- Added: Games start from Steam like any other game: Steam keeps their own playtime, performance profile and controls, and "Exit game" in the Steam menu closes only the game, not XLibrary. A game starts from Steam even when XLibrary isn't running, and XLibrary still counts the playtime and backs up the saves — it catches up the next time you open it
- Added: "Add XLibrary to Steam" in Settings → Steam puts XLibrary into the Steam library in one step, with covers and controls and no launch options to type by hand. The app moves to ~/Applications/XLibrary.AppImage, so the shortcut keeps working after updates
- Added: Full integration with Steam is turned on once: XLibrary offers it after the first start on Steam Deck and explains what it does. Steam has to restart once — "Allow and restart Steam" does it, in Gaming Mode too, and XLibrary comes back on its own. After that shortcuts, covers and controls apply right away; without it games are still added, and covers show up after Steam restarts. You can turn it on later in Settings → Steam
- Added: Settings → Compatibility tools for Windows games on Linux and Steam Deck: Proton from Steam, GE-Proton downloaded by XLibrary and checked against its SHA-512 sum before installing, and UMU-Proton. Pick the "Default for Windows games" there and a different "Compatibility tool" for any game in its launch settings, where "Separate prefix" gives a game its own Windows folder when it needs its own fixes. The section also shows the disk space the tools take and removes versions XLibrary downloaded
- Added: "Prepare the environment" in Compatibility tools sets up everything Windows games need once, with progress: 170 to 760 MB to download, depending on the tool. After that Windows games start without the internet. If you start a Windows game from Steam before that, XLibrary says what is missing, with a button to Compatibility tools
- Improved: In Steam's Gaming Mode "Play" in XLibr
