Throne Beneath puts the soul of a fallen Demon King in your hands as you rebuild a forgotten underground sanctuary into a stronghold of your own. In version 0.31 of this fantasy adventure by Darkness Inside, Maou awakens beneath the surface and joins Ivia on a mission to restore a ruined dungeon, gather allies, and challenge the powers ruling the world above. This English-language demo combines an anime-style visual novel, dungeon management, and side-scrolling action combat on Windows x64.

Build your power from the ground up by expanding your dungeon, producing and storing resources, researching upgrades, and strengthening your defenses. Recruit heroes, develop their abilities, and choose your main and supporting party members before heading into Conquest. The demo features five Chapter 1 mission objectives—Assault, Rescue, Defend, Escort, and Boss—with Normal, Hard, and Challenge difficulties offering different levels of resistance.

Real-time combat mixes movement, basic attacks, special skills, and a backward dodge that grants brief damage immunity. Keep an eye on fallen companions: reviving them can help your party stay in the fight. Between missions, explore thirteen Main Story episodes and learn more about your companions through character lore, relationships, and personal stories. Story reading is optional, so you can focus on recruitment and Conquest without narrative progression blocking your path.

Built in Godot, Throne Beneath pairs 2DCG artwork and animated presentation with adult-oriented fantasy themes, using AI-assisted tools for artwork and some animation assets.
