Description

In Third Party, Neil and Alice enter a long-distance relationship without ever really discussing it; after college graduation, staying together simply feels like a given. Alice moves across the country and begins building a new life with a new job, new friends, and a new volleyball team. Neil, meanwhile, remains in his aunt’s empty condo, sending out job applications and trying to stay connected to a daily routine he no longer shares. Their connection runs through PulsePal, a messaging app where photos called Pulses disappear once they have been viewed. When Neil discovers PulsePirate, a small program promising that “Your memories shouldn’t have an expiration timer,” it seems like a way to preserve the moments Alice sends him. The software lets him save her disappearing photos without her knowledge, turning fleeting messages into a private archive. But PulsePirate offers more than photo storage. As Neil explores its capabilities, his regard for privacy and personal boundaries begins to slip, and he uncovers more about the life Alice is living without him. Third Party centers on the growing tension between wanting to feel close to someone and intruding on a world they have not chosen to share. Developed by Jaunter, who has a Patreon presence, Third Party is available in English for Windows, Linux, and Mac. Version 0.1.0 was released on October 28, 2026, and is uncensored.
